I was recommended to KIOC by former Indian cricketer Hemang Badani a friend of mine. I wanted to develop specific things and my overall game. Being a women cricketer it is not always easy to find the right place.

KIOC GIRLS WIN THE STATE LEVEL JP NAGAR TROPHY & RETAIN KSCA LEAGUE TITLE 2009
Karnataka Institute Of Cricket recently launched TWO women's cricket clubs : KIOC Girls XI and Bangalore Girls Cricket Club. The clubs participated in the State League organised by Karnataka State Cricket Association. 12 teams participated in the league and KIOC girls won the Championship defeating all other teams including Shanta Rangaswamy's Falcons and Raichur Zone Secretary's XI which were strong contenders. India wicket keeper and batswoman Karuna Jain led the KIOC XI efficiently.
KIOC XI then participated in the State Level JP Nagar Trophy invitation tournament which played on a league basis and the toppers KIOC XI met runners-up Falcon CC in a play-off for the trophy. Falcons were reduced to a paltry 25 for 5 by some effective fast bowling by Priyanka who scalped four victims. Once Priyanka was through with her spell, Deepika Babu and Pragati with 61 and 34 respectively helped Falcons reach a healthy 145 in the allotted 30 overs.
Openers Sneha and Krithika helped KIOC XI make a brilliant start posting hundred runs in the 15th over. Thereafter, KIOC lost four wickets before passing the Falcon's score.
KIOC Girls XI did well to retain the Title in 2009 defeating all participating clubs with ease and maintaining an unbeaten record till date. Akanksha Kohli, Sunaina, and Saba were the most successful bowlers while Karuna and Meena scored scintillating centuries. Veda, Vanitha and Sindhu batted very well to win KIOC the accolades.
