I was recommended to KIOC by former Indian cricketer Hemang Badani a friend of mine. I wanted to develop specific things and my overall game. Being a women cricketer it is not always easy to find the right place.
Karnataka Institute Of Cricket defeated Essex by 38 runs today at the N R A grounds.
KIOC won the toss and elected to bat. Bharath Chipli and Nishanth Singh Shekhawat gave KIOC a good start putting on 77 runs off just 14 overs. Chipli was first to go being caught at mid wicket for 48. He hit eight fours and one six. KIOC lost wickets at regular intervals and were 108 for 6. The lower order batsmen made useful contributions and helped KIOC reach 201 before being all out.
Essex lost opener Billy Godelman in the second over but Mark Pettini and Tom Wesley shared a 72 run second wicket stand. Once Wesley fell to left arm spinner Prithviraj Shekahawat the Essex boys struggled against the double left spin attack of Abrar Kazi and Prithvi Shekhawat. Abrar bowled 8.1 overs gave just 16 runs and picked four wickets while his partner Prithvi bowled 9 overs and picked 4 for 30. Captain Mark Pettini was the top scorer with 67 against his name which included 7 hits to the fence.

KIOC conducts annual tours to countries like Sri lanka, Australia, England and other states in India. These tours are extremely popular as the trainees get much needed exposure and better understand the demands of touring life.
KIOC provides hostel facility for overseas and out-station trainees on daily, monthly or annual basis.
